Nashville, TN June 29th, 2011 8:00 am Central - Middle Tennessee’s largest Ace retailer, Tri Core Ace Hardware, adds a new location in Mount Juliet.
Tri Core Ace Hardware, with locations in both middle and east Tennessee, announced this morning, that it has acquired and reopened middle Tennessee’s newest Ace retail location in Mount Juliet. ”We were made aware of the store closure a few weeks ago and immediately began to assemble and execute a plan to reopen it today our plan was complete” says Steve Avery, owner of Tri Core.
The store, located at 4110 North Mount Juliet Road in Mt Juliet, had been open for a few years. However, road and bridge construction to widen the corridor leading from I40 paid for by stimulus money from the federal government caused major business disruption. Ultimately the business failed a few weeks ago and closed its doors.
According to Hank Kerry, Director of Retail Operations for Ace Hardware Corporation, “The Mount Juliet location came out of the gates like a rocket when it opened in mid 2007 but was unprepared to deal with reduced customer access caused by the road construction. We are confident that the team at Tri Core can quickly reestablish this locations relevance in the Mount Juliet community”.
Tri Core, working hand in hand with entrepreneur Steve Curnutte and founder of Capstan, LLC a private equity fund focused on distressed opportunities, negotiated arrangements to purchase the foreclosed assets from the bank, and reestablish relations with the Landlord and other significant creditors to the previous retailer. Curnutte says “the combination of a cost structure reset, retail and operational expertise from Avery and Tri Core, a vibrant market in Mount Juliet, and the availability of capital through Capstan, make Mount Juliet a sure bet”.

October 11th, 2010 - Ace Hardware Stores Now Featuring Craftsman Tools
Ace Hardware Stores have added Craftsman tools to their product line. Craftsman is a trusted brand name with tools well known for their reliability. Previously, one of the few retailers to offer Craftsman tools has been Sears department stores. The availability of Craftsman tools has now increased substantially as Ace is the largest hardware cooperative in the world, with over 4800 units in 50 states and over 70 countries. MIDDLE TENNESSEE (April 9, 2010) - Tri-Core Ace Hardware launches Educate with Ace program to support local schools in the communities it serves.
Middle Tennessee’s largest Ace Hardware retailer has aligned with local schools in its immediate markets to provide its patrons with an opportunity to provide financial support to the local school of their choice with no out-of-pocket expense.
The program is designed such that there are no special rules, expiration dates, excluded products, or other qualifiers for the program. It’s available to individuals, businesses, municipalities, schools, churches without limit. The program is simple…the Ace customer informs the cashier that they want to participate in the Educate with Ace program and for which school the donation is to be made. A portion of the customer’s transaction will then be earmarked for donation. Results will be periodically tallied and the proceeds will be submitted in the form of a check to the designated schools or school organizations.
